Maxx Chatsko is the founder of Solt DB, a public benefit company exploring the business of biotech. The platform helps scientists learn about business and investors learn about science. Prior to launching the platform, Maxx invented new hyperspectral imaging technologies as an engineer, served as an equity analyst, and wrote thousands of articles for major media brands. He's one of the longest-tenured analysts in industrial biotech and is regarded for providing objective insights into the bioeconomy. He was the first editor-in-chief of SynBioBeta, has judged the iGEM Competition's biomanufacturing track, and is a workshop expert at Nucleate Bio.
Maxx earned his B.S. in Bioprocess Engineering from SUNY-ESF and his M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He's based in Pittsburgh, PA.
