Michele Rubino is a business professional with extensive track record in clean technology and biotechnology. He has over two decades of experience in the biofuels sector, across different regions and spanning many roles. He was involved in the early days of the biodiesel industry in Europe and the ethanol industry in the US. Over the past 10 years, he has focused on advanced or 2nd generation biofuels, where technology and/or feedstock delivers enhanced environmental performance over conventional biofuels. His work in this area spans the entire renewable transportation fuels value chain, from feedstock to production, logistics and markets. He has extensive experience with the key policies around the world that support the deployment and market access for renewable fuels. In recent years he has focused on supporting technologies and projects in the renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel sector, providing due diligence, feedstock sourcing, marketing and risk management advisory.
