Ritter facilitates Gevo’s Farm-to-Flight project which is funded in part from a $30M USDA Climate-Smart grant. Gevo is a focused on transforming carbon captured from the atmosphere and renewable energy into energy-dense liquid hydrocarbons. Ritter has a farming background and was the Program Director for the Midwest Assistance Program, a non-profit that provided technical assistance to small rural communities, and the RDF Grant Administrator with Xcel Energy, a fund that provided grants for renewable energy research and pilot projects. Prior to joining Gevo, Ritter served as the Farm Service Agency County Executive Director in USDA’s Owatonna Service Center. Ritter has a BS degree in Biology from St. John’s University and a MA degree in International Affairs from Ohio University.
